My personal story is what sets my made from scratch bakery business apart.
Several years ago, I got sick and it took eight months before the illness was diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. During this time period, I re-evaluated my life and decided it was time to complete my bucket list.
I had wanted to go to culinary school for some time, so in 2009, I enrolled at the International Culinary Schools at the Art Institutes of Washington in Arlington, VA. In December 2012, I graduated with honors and received an Associate In Arts Degree in Culinary Arts with a Concentration in Baking and Pastry.
If I had not gotten Fibromyalgia, I would have never pursued my dream. Becoming a trained Baking and Pastry Chef is my dream.
I left a company I had been at for almost 26 years to begin my second career which is truly my passion!
